Milestones & Birthday Party Planning
Aside from the leaps and bounds that Jayden has grown so much while I was on blogging hiatus, he has started doing other things- like clapping. We were watching TV with his brother, when all of a sudden he started clapping. So now, everytime we say, “Yay!” he would clap and smile. He does it on command and it’s too cute. He can now clap his hands while standing on his own. Amazing! He’s just so happy, full of personality, and ready to explore the world!
With all these milestones, I seriously can’t believe that the date is upon me - Jayden’s first birthday. I blinked, and now he’ll be 1 year old in 8 weeks. Time just needs to slow down!
You all know that I absolutely love to plan parties so I’m throwing a big party for Jayden as I did for his big brother. I know a lot of people are opposed to big parties for first birthdays because the child won’t even remember it, yada… yada… But it’s right for us. First birthday is a huge milestone and milestones are meant to be celebrated.
So far, I have designed the digital save the date card and all the labels I’m going to use at the party.
But there’s still a lot left to do and for the next 8 weeks, I will be extremely busy cutting paper, crafting, and building “stuff”. I will try to blog and give updates in between!

I can’t wait to see how Jayden’s birthday party turns out – one thing is for sure though, I’m sure it will be absolutely fun and your handiwork as stunning as always! Have fun with the preparation. :)

We threw a “big” party for our son’s first birthday too, and the next year the invite list is a little bit less. Do what works for you! I just made sure we were able to afford it and that we invited groups of people so that no one felt left out. For instance, we only invited our siblings and some friends with kids, instead of inviting all our cousins and all our friends.
Cute invite, too :)

I love how you love celebrating thiese great milestone. Every birthday should be celebrated as extreme as you like them to be. Our kids deserves nothing but the best :-) so excited to see all your crafty ideas come to life. I’m anticipating the time when I can also send out Liems invitations.
