Party Planning Update: Barnyard Invites
For the past few months that I’ve been planning Jayden’s 1st Birthday party, I’ve also been using my new Cricut machine & I think I became a bit obsessed with it.
I ordered some brown envelopes, a matching 8.5″ x 11″ brown paper and cut them into a 5″ x 7″ rectangles.
I designed and printed the main invite and started cutting the barnyard and cow shapes with my Cricut.
It definitely took some time cutting and gluing the pieces together especially the cows because there were some very small pieces but I honestly enjoyed making the invites!
Just like with Jordan’s first birthday invites, I stamped Jayden’s too with the “handmade by” stamp.
I also designed a matching USPS stamps and ordered them from Zazzle.
So there you have it, the 3-dimentional barnyard party invitation details.
I can’t believe my little J’s party is only 3 weekends away, and there’s still so much left to do, it’s crazy!

Amazing! Just curious what cartridge you used for the barn, was it also Create a Critter? I don’t see the white part as an option. I’m working on a barnyard party now, too! SO fun to do custom stuff for our kiddos! Amazing job!

Hi Chrissy! I used the Old West for the barn. It’s an old cartridge but you could still find it here: http://amzn.to/WxDkon

I am so impressed! I like making cards too although I admit I haven’t done much since my kid was born (ironic, because most people *start* making cards when their kids are born). These are so creative :)

Thank you! Yeah, I’ve always liked making cards but after the kids, I only make them for invites now.
