The Little Things in Life That Make All the Difference
With the sun gloriously shining today, Michael took me out in a wheelchair. We went around the hospital compound, talking about trivial things and just simply enjoying each other’s company and connecting.
I know that being in the hospital for more than three weeks, it could be too easy to get caught up in the trials of life and neglect quality time with family. However, I feel so blessed and thankful to God that I have a committed husband who balance everything between work, errands, bills, and making sure I have everything I need while in the hospital. He stays with me in the hospital every single night from the day I was admitted. I am also very thankful to my parents who takes good care of Jordan and for bringing him here every day so I could spend time with him.
Since I’ve been admitted to the hospital, we’ve already had three celebrations; Father’s Day, our 6th Wedding Anniversary, and today, July 4th. Yes, being in the hospital is no walk in the park but it doesn’t stop us from spending time together as a family. I feel like these simple, little celebrations help us build a stronger family bond.

Hi Joy! I am enjoying reading your blog (even if I’m crying a bit!) and am strengthened by it. They just told me that I have placenta previa and have to have another ultrasound at 28 weeks and might have to have a c-section. I was searching this morning for a blog just like this with a real story…thank you for taking the time to post! I will be following your story! I wish you the best and hope that it all goes well!

Thanks Allison! It was a little heart breaking for me when I was diagnosed with placenta previa at 19 weeks because I had such and easy labor and delivery with my son. However I stayed positive and that’s what keeps me strong even after the big bleed at 33 weeks. I will pray that your previa will resolve itself and that you’ll have good news at your 28 weeks ultrasound. If not, stay positive because you still have plenty of time for the placenta to migrate away from the cervix.
However, if doesn’t resolve itself at all, just know that everything happens for a reason and that it is God’s plan for you and that everything will be okay. Take care and I wish you the best! :)
