Do You Post Pictures of Your Kids Online?
I know some people who are scared to post photos of their kids online and I’m sure they think I’m a reckless mother for plastering my blog and facebook account with photos of my son. But this is one of the reasons why I post pictures of my Small Fry online.
To my dearest nephew, Jordan…
I have been watching all the clips and photos that your mom and dad have uploaded of you. You make me smile every single time :) How lucky you are to have such parents to nurture you in love and share their joy with the world so that we too may enjoy the pleasure of your existence.I feel …quite privileged to be an uncle to you and bear witness to your growth through the internet… And please don’t worry about taking your mommy’s time – her life is in complete dedication to you now. As long as mommy’s excuse is you – she is always forgiven. Can hardly wait till you are old enough to tell me what your uncle can possibly get you… till then maybe mommy can oblige? (hint… hint…)
Much love,
uncle Satya
The reason I don’t mind putting our Small Fry’s pictures online is so that the far-flung family and friends could see how he’s growing. Of course, I’m well aware of the possible dangers of posting picture online but I’ll continue to share photos and videos of my family (but use some common sense).
Do you post images and videos of your kids online? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Joy you and Michael are definitely wonderful parents. I still remember when you and Michael were visiting. My kids were immediately drawn to you guys. Funny our conversation that day was about having kids…lol.
I too also post plenty of pictures of my kids on FB. It’s a convenient and easy way to share our lives with our family and friends. Especially when most if not all my family and friends are in Seattle. Our lives are so busy with work and family sometimes it’s hard to keep in touch. Through pictures and videos I’ve been able to see my neices and nephews grow up from 3k miles away. There is many ways to be safe online. These are some of my safety precaution I take: Don’t add people that you do not know well, and if I do there are filters that I use where they can view only certain information, post and pictures. I don’t post pictures where they are naked, besides not having a shirt on (Evan is notorious for showing off his muscular body lol) We shouldn’t let those sick people out there stop us from sharing our childrens progress with the people we love. We just have to be more aware and use more caution.
I love seeing Jordan grow up and even though I have not met him yet, I know some things he’s been up to. :) Keep up the great work!

I try make sure not to post any naked (or close to baby pictures) (no matter how cute they are)…AND there is a certain video of my son decorating my 7 month pregnant belly that I won’t be posting, but I love sharing pictures with my family and friends. Nothing wrong with being a proud Mama!
