Happy Baby At Daycare
My small fry started day care three weeks ago and I am having such a hard time separating from him as I go off to work and leave him at day care. He starts crying each time I get ready to leave. Sometimes he even begins crying as I put him down on the floor to play with the toys there. Although I read at a parenting magazine that it may take awhile for some babies to adjust and get used to day care, it really breaks my heart knowing that he cries periodically throughout the day.
Eventhough I really like his teachers, Michelle and Shala and I can see that they are more than willing in helping Jordan to get familiar with the day care environment, I was beginning to think that Jordan was just not happy there. I was really getting worried that the childcare situation might not be a good match for my small fry until he just surprised us all on Friday when he played happily all day.
Even though he cried when we dropped him off at day care this morning, he settled down very quickly and he spent most of the day playing on the floor with other babies. I thank God that Jordan is now a happy baby at day care, just like how he is at home!

Separation is always tough at first. Kids and moms both snap out of it after a couple weeks. Once in a while it will creep back up for no apparent reason. You r child is just getting used to a new unfamiliar habit. Once that habit sets in, you’ll be all set.
